I am working on a 1970 and most of the old sticker is gone. Can someone tell me if there is a place that remakes these?

If you are talking about the square GM Mark of Excellence label, it has been pretty well established that this label was not used in 1970.

If you are talking about the rectangular Certification Label, they are readily available on ebay and from a variety of vendors. I got mine from NPD but you have to go into their Camaro catalog to find it. It's the same label that was used on Chevelles. You'll have to add your own information like date and vin.

Year One or OPGI both carry these. Verify your color, (light or dark) to keep it "correct".

Most of it is gone but it looks to be rectangular and does not tell me much but you can tell it is original and a light blue.

That would be the Certification Label. Different assembly plants used different type faces/sizes when filling in the assembly date in the upper right hand corner and the vin number across the bottom. I've never seen any type of documentation saying what plants used what type styles but if you are interested in a starting point for adding your information to a new label, take a close look at what is left of your original label. It might give you a clue as to matching the type. Also, there has been a number of threads written about the Certification Label including suggestions for type font style and size.

If you can post a picture, it would be interesting to see what is left of your original.

How big is it? If it is about 1.75 inches square, it is the "Mark of Excellence" sticker. If it is larger it probably is a vehicle info label.
I have some of the old Mark of Excellence stickers purloined from GM when I worked for them in 70 and 71.

I do think it is the Certification Label but you can only tell it was light blue and only see a few words due to it being torn mostly off. I will not be back home to take a picture of it until Friday. Thanks for all the help.

Rusty,

The fact that you indicate that the label is light blue, appears to have been rectangular in shape and you can read a few words has all of the earmarks of being the Certification Label. As stated previously, there's been a number of threads written about the square Mark of Excellence label and the consensus is that it was never used in '70. The Factory Assembly Manual verifies this. By all means, please post a picture of it.
