Just got started on the body work this weekend, have a long way to go. Anyone replace the rockers (outer) on a 67 with repops. Gone to order a body stand, the saw horses just don't cut it.

You should really be doing that kind of metal work with the car on the frame.

that looks dangerous.
Especially with just green tape holding them together, J/K. Seriously though, I hope you dont ever crawl under there with it like that?!

4 jack stands and 2 4x4s should do the trick.

Why does it have to be on the frame?

I got a body cart on the way. It was on my rottiserrie, after finding more rust this is how it ended. It will go back on the frame but not until the new floor is tacked in.

So the body doesn't twist.

The floor is one of the most important pieces that should be installed on the frame. What are you going to do if it's crooked or twisted and the cab section starts acting like an old table leg. Unless the body cart is built for a Chevelle cab and has the same mounting points...all of them, you are taking a huge risk of something possibly being out of whack when you go to line everything else up.
