My car is at The Concord Safety Center as I write this for a front end. These guys are the best I've seen. I know them from alignments I've had over the years. They align cars based on the car and it's tire wear, not by the spec's from a book. Cars like ours are not always what the book says due to age, accidents, etc.
Kinda far from Santa Clara, but worth the drive.

East Bay Frame and Axle 1366 Doolittle Dr San Leandro 510 569 4285 . Ask for Marty. Hot Rods, Customs, Muscle cars ,4x4 trucks, etc. Nicest guy in the world . Son crushed front control arm on Toyota 4x4 bending frame . Toyota said it was a total $6500 to replace frame . $550 and 2 weeks and Marty had us down the road . Front tires have 30 k miles and they are perfect so a rebuilt frontend will be a pc-o-cake . As always he is swamped 24/7 so get an appointment and good luck.Tell him Matt with the green yota 4x4 sent ya.

Well I'm home from picking up my car. It drives like a totaly different ride.
I had them Align the front end, adjust the pinion angle in the rear, bleed and adjust the brakes and check for a loud clunking that came intermittant from the drivers front.
I had a busted ball joint so they replaced both. They also lengthened the brake shaft going into the master cylinder and now my brakes are like "right now". They also did all of the other work I asked for.
These guys know their stuff and treat customers like customers should be treated.
Yes, they are in Concord, CA. On Detroit ave off of Monument Blvd.

Custom Alignment in Mountain View is another excellent suspension shop. Custom Alignment (http://www.customalignment.com) . Best alignment I ever had on my 94 Impala SS was done by these guys. A little on the pricy side, but they know their stuff and won't let your car leave the shop without the job done right. They work on everything from old muscle cars to exotic performance cars. For an idea of pricing, alignments are $85, and to replace four ball joints on my Impala plus do an alignment was going to run $545  .

Thanks,

I'm putting pen to paper presently. Powder Coated A-arms and big nasty sway-bar are in my future ....
