Does anyone know if the new (cavalier, sunbird, etc.) style power steering pump with remote reservoir would supply enough pressure to properly operate a quick ratio box?

It will work, no problem. I run a Type-II pump feeding my fast ratio box and hydroboost and it has no problem keeping up.
