There were reported problems from the last Kruse auction in Tucson, sellers not getting paid paid for their cars. See this URL for further info:

As always, caveat emptor.....

Glad to hear about this, I wouldn't imagine they can get away with ripping people off, the owner should be in Jail!

As I remember it, this is a repeat of Kruse's antics in the 1970's. History repeats itself.

You know, it's sad. Because prior to eBay buying Kruse out back in like 2002 or so, the fall Auburn auction was THE one to go to. I've sold a couple cars there, no problems then. They would advertise 5000 cars on the property for the weekend, and there were years I'm sure there were. It was the best Musclecar show you could go to around here.

Fast forward to the eBay time of ownership. Commissions and all prices rose, attendance and quality of cars fell. Kruse buys eBay out. Reputation already in the tank.

This past fall auction, was PATHETIC. There were better auctions held in previous Springs that were better than this one. We had heard while up there last fall, that Kruse had filed for bankruptcy protection on the Friday that the auction was going on. Not sure if that was true or what became of it.

The Auction arena in Auburn is a good facility, needs a bit of updating, but what it needs is someone like Mecum to come in and run the fall auction. There's no way to remove the bad taste of Kruse from peoples' mouths now. If the city was smart, they would have the bank foreclose on him and work a deal with Mecum to do the fall event.

I have not heard of anyone not getting paid from last fall's event....

I also saw that article in this morning's AZ Republic. I can't imagine anyone who's been even remotely involved in the collector car hobby in the past 5 years or so, who is unaware of the pathetic decline of Kruse as a major collector car auction venue. Anyone who has consigned a car to them in the past year or so must be living in a cave.
