I am trying to install a Hurst roll control on my 69 and I have run into a problem. Almost everything I have read on hear says to put the line lock after the master cyl and before anything else, which seems to be the easy and logical way too do it. My problem is that the MC has a hole for a 5/16 line and so does the proportioning valve where the front brakes go into. The line lock accepts 3/16 line and I cannot find any parts store or anyone on the internet that has a 5/16-3/16 adapter. I even try to go 5/16-1/4 and then 1/4-3/16 but I cant find the 5/16-1/4. Everthing I find adapts inverted flare to NPT. If anyone knows where I can come up with the fittings I would really appreciate it. One more thing, if I get this too work will it still push enough fluid to the front brakes because it is designed to go through less than 12" of 5/16 tubbing, and the way mine is set up it will have to go through 40" of 3/16 before it hits the prop valve. Thanks in advance

Don't look into auto parts stores, look at plumbing supply places, including Home Depot, Ace hardware, etc. They usually have a wide variety of those adapters.
Can't help you on the size question...

I checked at an ACE and a couple of local stores but they only adapt from one type of fitting to another i.e.(IF-NPT) Next time Im at home depot or lowes I will try them though.
I do not know where you live, but here in Huntington Beach, CA., the only place to go for hard to find parts is Discount Auto Parts, 714-842-0228. They are located at 17320 Beach Blvd.
They help you find what you want and they usually bring whatever you order the same day. They are the best!!!
I would not hesitate giving them a call with your problem.

I was able to find adapters at my local parts place. They had a chest of drawers full of different ones.
What is "designed to go through less than 12" of 5/16 tubbing"? I don't understand the question. The MC or the line lock?

Sorry for the confusion. without a line lock, the front brake line comes out of the MC with 5/16 and goes to the prop valve and that is less than 12" of line. I have my line lock mounted behind the booster and each line going to and from the line lock is 20" and it is 3/16 so I am adding 40" of 3/16 line before it hits the prop valve and was concerned that it is too small.
