: Newer style ladder bars......

I need a new rear suspension for my 66 Pro Street Chevelle. It has a Dana 60 with the old style bolt on ladder bars( way too much bind). I have three options:

1) Ditch the Dana and buy a 12 bolt or 9 inch.
2) Keep the Dana and Install a newer style ladder with poly bushings( alston pro street)
3) Keep the Dana and install a Truck arm set-up fro Hotrods from Hell.

I want the car to hook up and not ride like a 2 ton truck. I don't mind a firm ride. I like the truck arm set up but the install looks like a pain and the exhaust looks tough to route?
Has anyone used the newer style ladder bars with poly bushings and coil over shocks. Alston claims to have a reasonably good ride and less bind than standard bars, or are they the same rough ride they've always been known for. If they are, then I have two choices..........
Thanks, Cary
