I am installing an after-market power disc brake conversion kit from CPP. I have read all the posts concerning drum to disc swaps and the issue with the upper and lower holes on the brake pedal, but they were all using disc setups from other vehicles. Everyone has said use the lower hole for power brakes and the top for manual. Does this apply to the after-market power brakes also? I can't find any mention of it in the directions. Also, any new suggestions on the brake light switch problem if I do use the lower hole?

i found out i had to use the upper (original) hole if i tried to use the lower hole i had to really pull down on the rod which didnt seem right at all didnt try driving it yet still restoring. as the brake light switch no problems.

I too had the same issue as Storm. It seemed I really had to torque the rod to get it in the bottom hole so I left it at the upper position as well. I still have not driven the car though so do not know if it works.

It worked the other way for me. I read a few threads where this was debated, so I tried the upper hole just for fun and the pushrod would probably have to be bent to fit there.
It should be in the lower hole, but I figure you can use any of them if you have power prakes. It's more important to use the correct hole if you have manual brakes, as the lower hole won't give you enough leverage.
