i have a chance to buy a disc brake rear-end with all lines and cables from a 78 cadillac rear wheel drive with staggered shocks. what all is in store to make the swap to a 12 bolt rear for a 65 chevelle? are only the brackets able to carry over or are the calipers the same too? also with the different lug pattern what rotor would i have to use or would any chevy lug pattern from that year work...ie camaro? or would this be a waste of time? thanks in advance to everyone who responds.

postal I remember reading several threads about this awhile back. Try a search in brakes or the archive section.
From memory (and I am getting old) use the calipers and brackets from the caddy and rotors from a F body but I can't remember the year.

Rear disc rotor with 5 on 4.75" bolt pattern: 78-'81 T/A with WS6 4WD option.

Also, check out my website on this and some other rear disc swaps.
