I have purchased a 67 Chevelle SS 61,500 mile survivor car. (- 1 paint job) The only items that are not date correct are the water pump and starter. The car was built Nov 22, 1966. Does anyone know of where one might could find the correct dated items? Thanks for all your help.

Might try Jeff Dotterer at Dated Components. He's a member here and goes by Diamond judge, or something close to that. Look him up in the user list and send him a PM.

What motor,i assume its a 396 since its an ss but is it stock or built -perf hi comp etc & what transmission?

If you cant get them from above stated places there are venders that sell restored starters, sell complete cores for resto-rbld,and some sellers can restore them for you all on Ebay .

I have bought a few restored and or as cores for rbld form ebay for peoples cars i work on and have had no problems at all with the restored staters/alts/w-pumps and or complete cores i have bought to have restored too.

Try a few different type wording searches in ebay motors to have best chance of picking up all the starters ,water pumps etc that may be out there for your car.

I looked and found mult resotred w-pumps for you but worng date.1 was real close ,found some staters too all wrong dates too.

But ,i have hit same thing when looking for dated parts like this and it changes daily/wkly and i have always eventuelly found the date i needed within a month or 2 of when i started looking on ebay etc.

So be patient but keep looking daily esp on ebay and will eventually find what your looking for.

Could also try Hemmings motor news online as they have parts for sale too.

On the starter try John Pirkle. His number is 706-860-9047. He rebuilds starters and alt to judging standards.
