I need to spray in box liner in my Son's truck bed that we just put on, Has anybody had any luck with any of the DIY kits?

I've bought 4 of the Hurculiners kits and would use them again. One is about 8 years old now and still holding up great. I looked at some of the others and they didn't have the texture that I was looking for. The only problem that I've had was that it tends to fade pretty fast in UV. It goes for shinny black to dull black, but that's not really a problem. I've gouged, loaded dirt/cement, etc... it's great in the rain as you really can't slip on it because of the agressive texture.

Don't mess with the Duplicolor product. It dries hard and brittle causing it to flake off too easy. I used it on my new floor pans and am glad I didn't use it anywhere else. I din't see it lasting for regular bed use - and it would be too slick.

Ditto on the Duplicolor, it looked just like flat black paint, that's why I went with the Herculiner.

I have used Herculiner numerous times. Holds up very well but it does fade. It will not spray through a undercoat gun ( I have tried:sad:) will have to be rolled/brushed on.
Good skid resistance when aplied in temp range on instructions. If you want it a little smoother apply it when it is cold and it will take a long time to dry this allows the rubber paticles to settle resulting in a smoother finish. I found this out when doing my brothers truck when the temp was in the 40's, It did take 2 days to finish because it took forever for the first coat to tack up.

I have also used SEM bed liner which is pretty durable and does not fade. There are 2 kinds and one of them needs a special gun in order to spray it because it is way thick. I think it is the professional version that needs the special gun.
