Wanted to know if there is any spray can paint I can use since I dont have a spay gun to paint the frame? or should I buy a spray gun? & what grit should I use to sand down? I was thinking of doing the front of the frame only & do the back later. hoping to get some new rottors this coming week this is how my fame looks now.

As with any paint job, surface preparation is essential. A thorough cleaning and degreasing will reveal if sanding or grinding is needed to smooth the part.

Select the finest sandpaper needed for the job. Coarse can create more scratches as it cuts through rust and crud. Since the frame is cluttered with components and viewed only thru portions of the engine compartment, it is very forgiving when it comes to painting.

With simple tools (soap and water, nylon and wire brushes, brake cleaner (as a degreaser), sandpaper or sanding pads, and spray cans) an excellent finish can be achieved.

Priming the surface is always wise, but Rustoleum (and others) have paint which it claims does not require priming. Generally, semi-flat or satin black seem to work best for frames, while a totally flat finish is difficult to clean and maintain. I have found Rustoleum is very forgiving when repainting or touching-up scratches or runs.

Take your time, mask other parts carefully, and paint in light covering coats, and you will get a professional job with the spray cans.

Remember, the freshly painted frame makes the other components look - well, dirty. And more that once, this has lead to a total restoration!

Check out Eastwood or POR15 products. They can be brushed on and smooth out very well. Also do a search on frame painting and you will find a lot of info on it. Try this http://www.chevelles.com/forums/search.php?searchid=5411392
