I am putting front power discs on my 67 . I bought a complete setup from a 70 chevelle. The one part I am unsure of is the "disc valve" I wasn't sure what it was but found it on www.rightstuffdetailing.com (http://www.rightstuffdetailing.com) as part #PV68. Is it needed or can I just plumb my lines to new proportioning valve and master cylinder??
Thanks

I looked on the website under that part number. It describes it as a "bullet type" proportioning valve. I think they refer to what is correctly called a "metering valve"; which is peculiar to 67 to 69 disc cars. On the 70 and later cars, they did away with the metering valve that hung below the master and went with a "combination valve" that did what the metering valve did and more. Go to www.mpbrakes.com (http://www.mpbrakes.com) to read about this. Bottom line, I think you should install a new combination valve. No need for metering valve. But hopefully the mpbrake site will advise you.
