I just got through putting one side of my rear drum brakes back together and the drum does not want to go back on. I have them adjusted all the way down and I can barely get the drum on and it is tight once I get it there. It looks like I have every thing together right but knowing me, I probably screwed up somewhere graemlins/clonk.gif I was just wanting too know if new shoes will sometimes cause the drum too be hard too get on and what you do too fix it.

If you reassembled them correctly and the drums still don,t fit, check to make sure the E-brake cable is not seized and holding the shoe out.
If it is free, check to see if the E-brake cable adjusting bolt is not turned all the way in.This can hold the shoes out also.
