I just sold one one this site for $750 plus the guy is paying $160 for shipping. It is 3.31 open rear complete from drum to drum with e-brake cables and brake lines. It was not restored, but in good working order.

I always ask the seller for a price first. How much are they asking?

Was 4:10 an option in '67? My (all new) narrowed 12 bolt w/4:10 gears cost me a little over 900$ . . . but I did some serious shopping for parts & machine shop to narrow it. got the carrier and axles from Tom's Differentials
(http://www.tomsdifferentials.com/tomp.htm)

New Stage II Eaton carrier
KA axles - Short heavy duty
Richmond Ring & pinion - 4:10 gears
Disc brakes - '79 Firebird
Consider this:
What is the condition of the carrier?
How much HP you putting thru it"
4 Speed or Automatic?

Offer him $200 and start from there.
I would stop at $1000

I offered him 600 and he said no but he wants to keep talking. I'm not so sure I want too.

I had about 1800 Canadian into mine by time it was completely rebuilt with a new series 3 Eaton, and mine is a 68-72 rear. The narrower ones like the one you are interested in are worth more so I sure don't think $1000 would be out of the question by any means
