Would I be wasting my time building up a 10 bolt?? Motor is a 468, AFR heads,1.7 roller rockers,300/615 hyd. roller cam,10:1,TH400 trans w/3000 stall..Car will be on the street 80% of the time..The reason I'm considering a 10 bolt is because I already have one.I just want to know if its worth putting the money into..Thanks everyone

If you only run street tires and you have no wheel hop at all then it will hold up. If you ever get good traction under full power then it's probably going to pop.

The original 12 Bolt/3:31 grenaded long ago in our 71 SS "Diamond in the ruff". It had a 10 bolt 30 spline 4:10 with T/A girdle when I got it and it just wont break. Believe me I have tried!! So i kept it detailed it and left it in. When it breaks or I sell car I'll include a correct 12 bolt sittin in the garage. Numbers matching it is not and It wont pull the fronts but it will run 13.012 in the 1/4.
