so my 12 bolt is back together with new gears, moser axles, and a detriot truetrac. the question is, what kinda gear oil needs to go in it?? anybody have some experience with a truetrac and have some advice to go along with it?
Standard gear oil is fine ,you don't need a posi additive if that's your concern.
As for advice ,go carefully until you get the hang of it,especially around corner's,on curves and wet surfaces.

that is what i was thinking. care to elaborate on the "go careful" part?
Some tend to grip both tires on curves ,around corners and on wet surfaces.
Just suggesting you see what your's does differently than an open rear would react in those situations.
Usually a short learning curve.

I have the same set up exactly as yours. You will love it. Grips up very firm and you can feel little checks in sharp corners and parking lots. Just enought to let you know that it is working.
