Ok... Some of you might already know from my other post that i'm working on doing a c5 conversion on a 68 chevelle with manual brakes. Oh and leaving the stock rear drums on. I am going to put a manual master on from a 77-78 malibu and see how i like it.. I work at a parts store so its a cheap test. But I'm thinking I should just go ahead and install power brakes.

I was told to use the stock 68-72 booster and use a 2000 s10 master? how can that work? the rod that drives the cylinder in the master is at least 2" to long. if you look at a booster from a s10 it has a small little "nipple" (lol) thay drives the master cylinder.

Now has anyone used a camaro master from like a 98-02 or 93-97? I notice some people used a 95 camaro master and booster for a 67-69 camaro with a c4 conversion.

1.) Can u still use the 68-72 booster? if i would cut that shaft down? idk if that would still work? wouldn't that change the depth of the pedal?

2.) If i had to use a late model booster.. would i be better off using a camaro booster from 93 to 02? If i did use one.. it looks to be a challange to mount up and get the "right angle"

3.) another ? is why a s10 master? If there brakes are to small to did a conversion?

Anyone have ideas on what to use or problem fix?

thanks tony
