could someone tell me how to remove the glove box lock assembly on a 70ss. Iam stripping my dash and I would like to take the lock out so I dont mess it up. I need to know if I need to do anything to the dash pad before repainting it. Besides spraying it with bulldog paint prep. thanks, Bob

Guess I am the only one having trouble because even with that article I still cant get the darn thing out of mine. Guess I am not quite seeing how it works. I understand pushing the tumblers the opposite way the key does to depress them and slide the lock out. Problem I have is I dont see how those tumblers are getting depressed. I can get the first one down and the lock wont budge and cant see past that one.
