I have Moroso wheel studs on the rear of my car. This is a 9" Ford rear with stock axles. My problem is the wheel studs nurled surface that fits into the axle sticks all the way out of the brake drum when I put it on. Now when I put the wheels and lug nuts on. My lug nuts hit the nurled surface and don't torque down against the wheel. Leaving the wheel loose.
I had a set of lug nuts turned down on the ends so I could tighten the lugs down. This is just a band aid fix. Also the lugs don't go all the way through the Weld wheels. They probably lack somewhere between 1/4" to 1/2". I want to know what the problem is. I have a set of new lugs that reach all the way through the rim but they run into the nurled surface. Whats the problem? graemlins/angry.gif

the studs you bought are wrong. You should have bought ones with a smaller knurled surface. I think the ones you need are close to 3/8" in lenght. I think that is what I used on my 69
