Why are so many parts removed from these documented projects? I'm guessing previous owners have sold off parts to put $ in their pockets and moved the project to the next owner.

What would this be worth with non matching drivetrain and dash?

It was just a car. it was driven, modified, used, abused, and taken for granted.
They weren't looking into a crystal ball to see what the future would hold for these old muscle cars. They were just cars. I have junked many cars that were way nicer back in the day. Didn't really think much of it as the cars were still plentiful. Just the way things happen.

You would have to put 40k into that car to make it a 35k nom car. Why would you want to do that? The only way you could do it cheaper is if you had a motor and a lot of parts laying around and pretend like they had no value then you could do it cheaper. Give me a good quality clone for half the money and it will have more original parts than that car will end up with when its said and done.

It's worth the reserve but not much more. If you can do all the work on your own and have some parts lying around you could build it well under the 40k mentioned. But you have to do everything yourself.

I've seen this car listed on ebay before, back before i got my 71 last fall, hmmm, wonder how many owners it's had since the last listing, & how many part were stripped off it since?:(

Strange car with an AC dash but no AC box on the firewall. Hmmm....

"I LOCATED THIS RARE CHEVELLE ABOUT A MONTH AGO...

THERE IS NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION IN THE CAR."

A '70 Chevelle 396, 4 speed...without its 396 and without its 4 speed.

What's so "rare" about that?

Regards,
-Greg

Dash appears to be a 72, with seat belt warning light above the lighter. Definately 1/2 the price of what this would have brought 2 years ago.
