I recently sent out the brake booster in my 70 chevelle to be rebuilt and replated. While it was out they took the nut off the rod that goes to the brake pedal, I never marked it, and now I'm not sure of the setting it should be at. Does it matter? Is it just a personal preference? I know the way I have it installed now, the pedal is up higher than it was before. Thanks for any information..........Tom

It really does not matter, as long as the pedal is at a comfortable height and it does not bottom out on the floor when you apply the brakes.

shoot for about 1/4" of pedal travel at your foot. for some reason or another, you aren't supposed to take up all the slack.
