I recently aquired a 67 EC. It originally had a bench seat but the previous owner put buckets in. The drivers seat is in very bad shape but the passenger seat is fine. I want to eventually rebuild both seats but wonder if the right seat will mount on the left side without any problems. This is a short term thing just till after the local street legal drags have past.

The footprint of the buckets seats are semetrical so they should bolt into either side. I believe the only difference is where the back frame hinges on the base. The hinge points are staggered, inside is further back of the outside point. What this means is that the seat back will tip towards the center of the car facilitating access to the area behind the seat. The only minor thing you may want to watch out for is leaving the seat tipped forward when shutting the door, they may come into contact. Happy racing!
