Does anyone have any detailed pics of how the hinges on a 66-67 connect back to the package tray? I have replaced all the metal in my car from a back hack job and this is a major roadblock right now. Here are some pics of the right side.

These are hinges that I found from a guy that had a 67 with the torque rods in excellent shape. The trunk had a dzus fastened fiberglass lid and I took these hinges and bolted them to the stock deck lid and fasted the lid in the rear. Gaps seem fine considering I put a new 1 piece front and rear floor in along with new wheel houses and drop offs. Also here is some pics of the package tray to the wheelhouse any pics of any of these would be greatly appreciated!

Right on! Yes that helps a bunch, you wouldn't have any fo the support coming off the sail panel to the wheel well would? Again thanks for the pics of the hinges!

Your welcome. I do not have any more pix of this area, but I can take a couple more if you need them. Do you mean looking at the entire hinge bracket from the center of the car (as if I was directly over the rear differential)?

There is a brace that runs in a diagonal from the bottom of the inner sail panel and rear deck tray to the wheel well, like a support. Thanks again

I think these pix are what you want. I took these pix by reaching (from the interior of the car) thru the rear seat back and turning the camera 90 degrees to each side. Now let me explain what you are seeing. Photo 1820 is the pass. side, with the seat back on the left. Photo 1821 is the driver side, and the seat back is on the right.
My rear shelf was a mess. the PO hacked it up to add 2 speakers, and on each end where the shelf was spotwelded to the vertical bracing: it was rusty. The holes you see are where I drilled out the spot welds of these rusty ends. The black you see is POR-15....painted up to where the replacement pieces I fab'ed are going to get welded to the vertical bracing. I also have new pieces made to cover over where I cut out the speaker hack job. Once I get to the point where I can weld all these pieces back onto the shelf, I will have a good shelf once again!
(Up here in New York, there are no donor '66 cars in the junkyards to find a whole rear shelf......they are long gone by now...hence the fab job.)

Pics helped alot! The parts cars are far and few here. Usually where there is one there is several. Hopefully I can go hunting this week if the stupid weather will hold out. If not I may wind up fabbing my own as well. What gauge to use?

The original rear shelf measures around .038 thick, which would put it in the 20 gauge range. That is what I made my patch pieces out of.
