Im in the process of recovering the seats in my 69. I've searched posts and cant seem to find the process for recovering the backs. The bottom of the first seat went fine and wasnt tooo bad. I began the back by attaching the bottom and then worked my way up the inside. The problem is I cant get the top stretched over. Should I have started at the top then attach the inside and then the bottom? What is the correct steps in doing the backs? Thanks.

I think I figured it out. I took the bottom loose and stretched the top over . I got this one on but Id still like to know the correct procedure.

Yes I did. Just didnt see the steps for the backs. But what Im doing seems to be working. I have 1 more to do, I was just afraid of tearing the cover.

I don't blame you. I'm too afraid of screwing my seats up to try it.

I was afraid but I figured if I ruin one I can buy another and then take them to a shop. Just seemed cheaper than the $450 up front for a shop to do them. Now I tried and found another item I can do on my own. Although this might be the last car I do for awhile it might come in handy in the future. BTW, I checked out your 66 on Car Domain. Really looks good!

There's a guy here who'll do my buckets for $100 apiece; I think that's pretty reasonable.

Thanks for the kind words, Kevin! :D I've got a ways to go.
