I think Edelbrock was making these or was in the process of making these. I seem to remember seeing them on their trailer at either Super Summit or the Goodguys Nationals.

Edelbrock has steel ones. Search for "tie rod" in Jegs.com. They sell for $37-39.

Heres what Edelbrock says on their website:

"They are manufactured
from solid steel hex stock then zinc plated for durable good looks and corrosion
resistance"

To me, they look almost like fancy billet pieces... I'd take a look at them...

Got mine from Hotchkis through Crowenate here - $41.90 - look good and significantly more solid than the stock ones - they seem to be out of hex stock, tapered at the ends, similar to the edelbrock, painted black.

I just put some of the Edelbrock on mine. Got em from Summit in one day: $36.99 + $8.45 S&H. Easy to install & look/work better than stock.
