after replacing the power bolster and master
cyc., bleeding the brakes a half dozen times
my left front wheel locks up when I hit the
brakes. adjusted the brakes no help, backed
off the left and it still locks up.

Had a similar problem with a '65 Elky years ago. Turned out to be the rubber brake line had a small tear on the inside lining, acting as a flap valve. The fluid would flow in one direction fine, but not let the fluid return from the brake cylinder. Good Luck.

NOFun its not how the he find that. It he should replace that. Replace you Rubber Brake line on the side thats locking up its a bad brake hose. Have fun. NOFUN

You can check it by using the piston retaning tool and having a friend apply the brakes SLOWLY. Making sure you don't over extend the pistons. Then release the brakes and check to see if the pistons return.
If you replace the brake hose, be sure to flush the steel line to be sure there's no dirt in there either.
