Just installed a 700R4 trans and am using the factory horseshoe shifter with the 4 speed conversion. I know I am not the first to install this combo and the problem is there dosen't seem to be a neutral safety switch that will accomodate this combo !!. I have the one that fits the 3 speed, but it only works in Park and then you have to "bump" it forward to start the car. ANy suggestions????? Not really happy with the way ii is now. HELP!!! Thanks

Did you modify the shifter with the Shiftworks conversion kit? I'm planning to add a console/floor shifter this winter and Shiftworks seems to have a good kit.

Yes I did and there is no neutral saftey switch that will work with the 700R4 trans. You can get it to work in park, but not in neutral and no back up lights. I contacted Shiftworks and they haven't got a clue either. Seems like a pretty stupid idea to make the shifter conversion and not a safety switch that will work ! Sort of like putting wheels on a car with no lug nuts. I will probably switch it out to another shifter and give this one back to Shiftworks.

You may have to make your own bracket with a couple of micro-switches wired up on it.
