I'm putting rear discs on my '69. I already have the caliper brackets and was instructed to use 85 caddy seville calipers and 80 camaro rotors.

To save some money, I think I'm going to use the 3rd gen camaro front calipers instead of the seville rears (I don't use the E-brake anyway). one more question, is there any specific caliper I need or are they all the same?

I'm looking for the cheapest supplier of these parts, as money is tight, and my brakes need work anyway. It's a good time to swap since the brakes need replacing.

Derek... why not take a gander around or ask here: http://www.mnfbody.com or http://www.mnracing.org . There are some f-body guys with parts laying around... I'm sure you could get a decent set of calipers for cheap.

If you go new... the core price will really hurt ya. I also would highly recomend staying away from the cheaper remanufactured stuff like Cardone. We refuse to use them at our shop anymore because 8 outta 10 times they come back with problems.

Otherwise I could probably give you a nice price on a set of calipers and new rotors if you were headed down for the meeting. As usual I have crap going on so can't attend, but I'm sure we could arrange something.

Derek,

I bought my C3 Corvette rotors from Disk Brakes R Us (http://www.discbrakesrus.com/). They were the best deal that I found, and they were name brand rotors. I would reccommend them. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
