I did-------------but only to change places with the Vette. While the weather is bad and I'm off for the holidays, I'm going to replace the seat covers on the Vette and I needed it off the lift to give me more room (the seat covers in the Vette are about 30yrs old and are cracking in a few places). :D

I'll be doing the same thing in a couple weeks myself. Currently I have the chevelle stored away peacefully in the one car front garage while I am building gates for our new fence in the back shop. Then I have to get out my airless paint sprayer to paint all my new cabinet doors for the kitchen and do that in there, as well as a few pieces of furniture the wife wants done too. After that I get to pull my pickup truck in and replace the intake gaskets, then the chevelle gets its warm spot back to get new axles put in.

Much of it had melted and I shoveled off the front drive and the slab behind the back garage door.

I cheated. That pic was from a few years ago. The car was outside, and it snowed. It's been indoors for a few years now though.

There's two Camaros in this pic out in the driveway too. :D

Tom, I don't think that really counts, since you didn't post any pics of it actually on the road. Sorry.

Bracebridge Ontario December 8. Five feet of snow in one dump. Good thing it didn't hit us or I would still be blowing snow.

I know, it's pretty hard to imagine that not everyone who owns a Chevelle has a garage to stash it in. :D

And before anyone says anything the '70 has seen any weather that has happened between So Cal and Flagstaff for the last forty years. There are pictures of it some place with several feet of snow piled on it.

No, that is a Kwik Lift. The legs on one end fold up and down. Use a floor jack to raise/lower it and fold the legs. The basic model is unpainted, or for an additional price, you can get it powdercoated. The powdercoat doesn't make it work any better, plus, I'm cheap. :D
I did pay extra for the casters which makes it nice to move it around if needed.

When I was younger I took one of my motocross bikes out for a ride on new Years eve around our neighborhood. Snow covered roads, young guys with beer and Yamaha Yz 250's dont mix. Since that night 30 years ago,my toys stay in the garage in winter.

Tom - What is that 70 SS coupe in the background of the last picture with the El Camino front bumper on it? Is that the Chevelle you were working on a while back for a friend of yours?

Yep, he came and got it a few weeks ago and was quite happy with it.
I hated to see it go in the condition that it was in. It had sat neglected for so long that it was in deplorable condition, but it was going to take more time, effort and money than I was able, or willing, to devote to it. My offer to him was that I'd get it in good running condition for him and then he could do the rest. It seemed that everytime I walked by it, I did some little something, and just finally had to draw the line and quit and tell him to come and get it.
