It doesn't have the right dash, the interior is screwed up, tt certainly doen't have the right engine, it also has those butt ugly oversized wheels. Wait, it might not be a real SS afterall?

I don't want to start a new thread for this but I need to whine.

A deal was in the works for me to trade my '79 Vette + cash for a '69 SS396 #'s matching, 4 spd driver. The car was listed on ebay and someone hit the "Buy-It-Now" and snaked it out from under me. Even the seller was shocked. No questions, no pictures, no verification what-so-ever (unless he had a 3rd party rep look at the car without disclosing he was working for the buyer). He just paid and sent the hauler to pick up the car. Oh well, the quest continues...

Maybe it is the 350 with Racing Cam and Headers that makes it a real SS?

Halfway decent looking black vert with 20" or bigger multi-spoke wheels.

White buckets and black carpet...obvious malibu...sweep dash...too bad it was urbanized, as stated earlier in the thread, a semi-nice looking car.

Could be! I have heard people say there were actual SS 307 Chevelles, after all, the 307 was an optional engine (just stirring the pot) ;)
