i was hoping maybe some one could post a pic of how close your proportioning valve is to the headers in a big block chevelle. a 68-72 car please. im worried that it may be too close. or that i may not have the correct braket. so any pics or info would be great.

if i need to change things what should i do? i just bought all new lines and would liek to not send them back. thanks.

I have maybe an inch and a half clearence on my '69. I'm estimating based on the fact I can barely get my clutch return spring between the two to hook it to the frame where it belongs.

I have ceramic coated Dynomax headers and from an inch away, you really can't feel any heat off them.

I have the hedman elites on my '70 BB, and there is plenty of room - probably 2-3". I'm using the 1-3/4" headers.

I just measured mine, they looked further away than they are, particularly from underneath the car. The headers don't end up right next to the valve, the closest header tube is lower and offset a bit. However, it is a little over an inch away, not the 2-3 that I thought. The best way I can describe it is like 2 houses on opposite corners of a street. They really aren't a factor even though they are only an inch away.
