I was working on installing my cpp control arms on my 69 when i ran into a problem. The Balljoints dont seem to fit in the control arm. example the upper controll arm balljoint is tappered and sit about half way into the top hole of the spindle. When i removed the old upper arm it looks like they shaved the balljoint to make it fit in the spindle hole. The previous ower did say the disc breakes came from a 70chevelle so im assuming he used the chevelle spindle as well & thats why my balljoints arnt fitting. Im no sure on how i should approach this problem, should i shave the balljoints to make them fit or reem the holes on the spindles??? any advise would be great thanks

Well I cant give any recommendations without a picture but the stock Balljoint taper is 7º so to ream the spindle you will need a 7º tapered reamer. It sounds like the balljoints are the wrong taper can you post a picture? CPP products are made offshore and not the highest quality IMO. Not trying to bash CPP just stating my opinion
