There is an old car at my school (84 station wagon) and my teacher told me to take any parts off i want!!! Well, some a$$hole already took the 700r4 trans!!!! But anyway, i was looking under the hood and saw the master cylinder!

However, it wasnt the mc that caught my eye, it was what was attached to it! Instead of a brake booster there is a unit thingy. It has lines running from the power steering unit too! I knew i had seen it before and so i got on here and it looks EXACTLY like the Hydratech system. Does anybody know what this is and if i should take it? Oh, my set-up is: power brakes, front discs, rear drums, 71 chevelle.

LOL, plus, i'm a teenager so i need ALL the braking power i can get!!!

Also, are there any other parts i should pull? Oh, and the reason for the urgency is, the tow truck should come any time next week!!!! Thanks!!

The Hydroboost is connected to the Power Steering pump and steering gear box. If you can, remove everything that is attached to it with a hose. I would also look at the MC to see if it is long or short push rod type. There is explanation of this in the Hydroboost site Hydratech (http://www.hydroboost.com/) .
