Im kinda of new to this, so i was just looking to get some info and advice.
Chevelle has a 307 motor with a 700r Tranni, what would be the best way to go as far as swapping it to a 4 speed or a 5 speed? Which brand? Cost? Etc... Thanks

A 700r is a 4 speed. I'm guessing you mean a manual. Might be able to just find one out of a donor car and have it rebuilt, but I'm not an expert.

I am right in the middle of a swap right now. I started collecting stuff in the summer and am finally nearing the end.
I found a muncie on craigslist as well as a hurst shifter cheap.
As for the clutch linkage and bellhousing, I wanted the bigger 621 bellhousing and ended up ordering them a few weeks ago from ground up. They seemed to have the best deal on the full clutch linkage kit as well as the bellhousing.
I think 5 speeds end up being a bit more pricey. My muncie swap might end under the 1000 dollar mark.

You got an awesome deal man... The car that i will be getting has a 700r Transmission auto 4speed... And i want to convert it to a 5speed manual... If i don't end up getting a deal like yours.. What is the cost usually for something like this?

A lot will depend on just what 5 speed you get.
Keep in mind that the T-5's had a torque capacity from 175 to 300 while the T-56 was/is 330 to 450.
Choose carefully if your scrounging bone yards.

I need something probably more along the lines of the T-56. Any good websites that represent these transmissions? What would the cost look like on a T-56?

I left out that the T-56 is a 6 speed but the torque capacity is beyond what the T-5 has.
The T-56's will be mostly found in junkyards or in various forums http://www.google.com/search?q=t56+for+sale&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a.
You'll need to search around as most vendors are going for the T600.
Here's 1 for our sponsors to give you an idea of cost.

so he was selling that one out of a Camaro for about 500 bucks not bad at all, is it worth buying from a vendor that sells them for new? What would the price difference be between a T 56 or T600
