I am shopping around for a set of hotchkis springs. On their site they show 2 different kits for my application, the #1901 kit has a 500lb/in frt spring and the #1916 kit ha s a 520 lb/in rate. Both have a 135lb/in rear spring. Can anyone explain the difference I would notice with these 2,I know one will be a little stiffer than the other, but for a street vehicle will it matter much which I choose? FWIW I have boxed rear arms,w/factory frt/rear sway bars and poly bushings frt and rear if that matters

You really won't feel much difference between a 500lbs spring and a 520lbs spring. They will have a different ride height though, not by much. What engine do you have-sm blk, big blk, LS series?

Its a small block, I noticed the hotchkis site doesnt specify sm or big block, but my jegs catalog lists the 520's as for a big block. Thanks Denny

Guess I should have checked the signature first. graemlins/clonk.gif
I'd go with the 500's, the 520 probably won't give you the amount of drop you need to make it sit right (it may sit nose high with the others).
