Ive tried all the generic parts houses and they dont have a clue what im talking about, but im shure you guys do. Anyone have a part number and know what they range price wise? i have my underside of the car all ready to reassemble but i dont have the old ones (they were junk).

Check out National Parts Depot (http://www.npdlink.com) . For a '72 Chevelle the part number is C-7545-120. This the number for the rear coil spring insulator. The price is $3.17 each. They have a North Carolina warehouse and a Florida warehouse as well. With you being in GA I wouldn't think shipping would be more that a couple of days from either warehouse.

If things haven't change since I worked there, Advance Auto should have them(or can get them) part #CC100[edit]

Thanks for the help, a little searching through the archives brought me this number, 1366500, which sells through gm for 3.33 or gm parts direct for 1.90. thanks for the help people.

I used a 2 foot section of 5/8 heater hose. Use silicone spray and it'll slip right on the spring and stay there. I compared the hose to the old nasty piece and the thickness was just about right on and like I said it'll never fall out. works like a charm for me. :D
