Ok so a couple weeks ago i had some timing issues which i got squared away, then last weekend i took the chevelle for a quick ride to the gas station and on the way home it popped once through carb aat about 20-25 and accelarating, not WOT but under a load anyway. well today i finally got around to messing with it again and im not getting any fuel to my primary's on the double pumper, there was still some gas in the rear bowl but nothing out the front.

I am planning on starting in the morning and taking off my line from pump to carb and turning over engine to see if its shooting fuel which i doubt it will be, If this turns out to be my Holley mechanical 110 gph pump i am going to be highly upset. it was brand new when installed and have had NOTHING but crap from it, first the top gasket on it leaked ok so i fixed it, second the bottom gasket was leaking ok fixed it and now this!!?? oh yeah and it dont have 20 miles on it yet. cmon now.

I was suppose to show the car tomorrow for a possible trade for a beautiful 1986 K10 silverado, 4x4 with 40,000 original miles, its really a great truck, now i am going to have to reschedule if i cant get this beeehatch fired up :o:(:mad:

I took the pump apart, i dont see anything out of the ordinary, not clogged or anything, real clean, i think im just going to roll the dice and pick up a new one and see if that gets me any where. if it dont start pumping then i know i have a different issue, any ideas would really help me.

Sock in the fuel tank?

I think I would try the pump with a five gallon gas can. See if it will pull from the gas can through a rubber hose. That will take the tank/sock/lines out of the equation and narrow it down to the pump.

Well i hope anyone who reads this gets a monday laugh on my expense- SO after many hours of trial and error i decided to check the one thing i should have checked first. Is there fuel in the tank? It seems as though someone thought it would be ok to siphon the gas out of my tank. which in turn made my pump not pump any gas. got to go get 5 gallons this morning to be sure but im 98% that this was my dilemma to begin with. Thank you a hole that ruined my day. lol
