Chris,

There was some considerable discussion regarding that car on the Yenko website a while back. As I recall, there wound up being some rather convincing evidence that it was not being factually represented

Those cars could smoke the LS6 Chevelles with no problem according to the reports I have read from back in the day.

Yeah, I didn't think they made a stage 1 455 in 1972? I had a 1971 Skylark Custom 350-4bbl for my first car and used to lust after the '70 GS'...fine cars and that engine is mmm.

Buick only built a total of 809 GS 455 Stage 1 cars in 72...and 81 of them where convertibles.

My first boss had one and let me drive it frequently back in the late 70's and early 80's. It was one bad machine. This one is sweet, however, I prefer my Chevelle.

Buick GS, and Olds Cutlass/442's are still way underrated  i saw quite a few highly detailed 442's at the Atlantic City Auction last year. It's nice to see those and the Buicks getting the same level of restoration Chevelles and GTO's get finally.

Very nice - don't know about $54K nice though, but still very nice car. Guy I knew had a 71-72 GS455 (talking late 70's here). In stock trim (on street tires), there was nothing around that could touch it. His was white w/ black top and black interior. Bench seat w/ column shifter.
