Ok, I removed the heater control valve chasing why the 5/8 heater hose was pulsating..... I took the HCV off and the pulsating stopped....... Then I drove it, 2 days later, pulled up to the local school just to check and both Hoses were pulsating or jumping......

List of things obeserved:

No oil in coolant
No bubbles in overflow
Overflow does fill but then reseads
Not running hot, temps stay 155-170 with 160 t-stat

Now when I turn the car off, the temp rises to 200-210 sometimes

Should I look at the heater core, water pumps or hoses as possible culprits.........?

Could it be what I am feeling is coolant that is shooting up through the intake and the 5/8 nipple, hitting or vibrating in the hose?

Interesting post, I'll be curious to see what the culprit is also.

I would guess the pump - how old is it? - or maybe your stat is turning on/off/on/off.
Is the hose going into your heater core smaller (5/8) than the one coming out (3/4)?
Any chance for air to be in the system? (small hole or two in your T-stat to let it go out?)

Brand new edelbrock BBC waterpump from Summit......
New t-stat 160* with 3 3/16th holes drilled
5/8 hose coming out the front, top of intake to heater core
3/4 hose from the heater core to the waterpump.....

Right, it seems like some air is getting in some how

Given the temps mentioned, it is possible the T-Stat was just doing it's job. Interesting to see if it pulses when warming up. 160° is a little cool anyway, might also want to try a 180°.
