Can anyone give me any feedback on the LED taillights that are on the market? I noticed there are a couple of different kinds and the price range varies on them. I was thinking about upgrading mine for safety reasons but I would also like to save myself a potental headache if someone has had any problems with any of them. Any advice or recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here are the installation directions for some that have the fancier sequential pattern: http://spaghettiengineering.com/instructions/1100467.pdf
These are plug and play: http://musclerodzstore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=517

I have the cheaper ones in my 71 and they are decent.

I've used the Technostalgia brand sold by Shiny Hiney on a couple different year Chevelles. These don't require a constant power source (orange wire) like the Spaghetti model listed above.
Free shipping this month too.

Bill, did you have to cut and splice in wires to install that kit?

I did cut off the original bulb sockets (were worn out) although you could just tap into the wires using the blue 3M Scotch clips.
I've done LED rear lights on a '70, a '69, a '67, a '72 and a '66 wagon.
And you must use on electronic flasher.

I'm looking to buy LED's for the taillights also. From looking at the two sources above, it looks like the spaghettiengineering lights have twice the number of LED's! The Shiney Hiney brand doesn't have as many?

How about these on ebay? They come with the lenses included! And you just plug them into the current sockets!

The LEDs I bought for my (driver ) 70-SS 454 Sta. Wgn. have the 1157 plug on the led pig tail. Just plug them in, Its like changing a light bulb. AND they have a ton of leds, VERY VERY bright.
They were Adv. here on T-Chevelle, So I got-em. VERY VERY happy. If I KANT remember someone may offer some help.
The cost was around 60-80 bucks I just dont remember, It was 3-4 years ago. If no one can help, I will look for the reciept.

I noticed NPD sells a complete bolt in LED kit that you dont need to modify the wires or cut any sockets off to install. Ill be looking into that kit when for my 66.

Anyone have experience? The ebay ones are United Pacific. We sell those as well and have them in stock. excellent product, plug and play http://musclerodzstore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=91

Spaghetti LED's are still the highest quality on the market, and their price reflects that. No one has ever complained about their brightness.

Here's a before and after of the Shiny-Hiney kit - I'll HIGHLY recommend any LED kit as long as it's not just the bulb replacement. As said above, the better kits (and typically more expensive) are just plug-in and go. Shiney Hiney requires some splicing.

The difference in your visibility to the other cars on the road is amazing!

I bought the ones thru Musclerodz and am very happy with the results. I wouldn't spend the money for the fronts. I also put them on my '55.
