i am having a problem with a hard brake pedal on my 69. The brakes will stop the car but i really have to stand on it. I have replaced the booster and master cylinder. What am i missing here/ Any help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

If you step on the pedal with the motor off, then start it, does the pedal get softer? That should tell you if your booster is getting vacuum.

i seem to have good vacuum to the booster. I pulled the check with the vacuum line attached and checked it there.

If your vacuum for the brakes is tee'd into the pcv system you may have vacuum, but not enough to do the job. Second, the booster needs to "breathe" to allow air to move on the non-vacuum side of the diaphragm. This can be affected by having something (like a rubber boot) on the rear side of the booster.
