I am looking for full Qtr's for my 67' I found Bel air bobs that sells Golden Legion full's for $309 but the problem is I live in WA state so the shipping is $335 to a terminal even!

Summit sells the Auto Metal Direct stuff for $460 each but the shipping for both is only $99 this is such a numbers game. I am going to try to find a local distributor Maybe in Portland OR which is not to far a drive, to avoid the truck freight, or maybe find a CA dealer that would be less for truck freight because it would be closer,

Where did you guys end up getting your Qtr's ?

I got mine through Tamraz as well as some other sheet metal. Look on Ebay and then check shipping charges before doing anything. Your shipping sounds pretty high. If I remember right mine were around $125 Truck freight to east coast.

I will check with Tamraz but if they are on the east coast than shipping to WA state here on the West Coast will kill me.

I bought my local from Hinshaw Chevelles. I think if you can find a local person or a short drive that is always the best bet.

Here in Kansas city there are atleast 5 different local places I can get sheet metal from all within about a 1hr drive.

Goodmark's and Dynacorn's website have a find local distributor function.

I got all of my sheet metal from Standard Sheet Metal. I ordered it all at once and the shipping was $130 for everything. This included both rear quarters, full trunk floor, fun floor, rear trunk panel, rear deck lid, inner and outer wheel wellsand front wheel wells.

NAPA won't have sheetmetal. Check www.dynacorn.com or www.goodmarkindustries.com for the nearest supplier to you.

I usually buy directly from Goodmark Industries because I am convinced that they have the best internal quality control. Years ago when Goodmark was paying for the "GM" licensing for many of there products, I was told that they receive only #1's and they pay a higher dollar for them. While many other distributors will accept #2's , #3's, and so on. I don't know how much validity there is behind this story, but at the time it seemed to make sense since Goodmark was one of the few using the "GM" licensing on their products. Many other distributors were also buying directly from Goodmark also.

People on this forum believe that this stuff comes from all the same source, and they are probably right, but Goodmark has proven that they have superior quality of sheetmetal over the years and I have bought from some of the local distributors in my area. I have also had good experiences with some of the local guys, but generally I do not buy external sheetmetal from them, only stuff like wheelhouses, etc..

Whoever you buy from ask lots of questions and then inspect the panels closely when you pick them up from the distributor. The areas to check on a panel are the areas where the dies would experience wear, such as the door jam area, etc...

NPD "FTMFR" They double boxed both my Qtr's and had written on them with a paint pen after they inspected them, and they cost $1000 WITH shipping to my door !

I saved a few hundred over Year One and they fit great!

bob's impala, only because they were local for me (still a 3 hr drive).

would have gone with goodmark otherwise. I used all goodmark on my 69GTO build several years ago and everything was as near to perfect match as can be.

with bob's everything so far has been good, but not perfect matches for my 72 SS Chevelle. The front fenders, were actually very well made though and required no tweaking to match my body lines.
