Inner fenders on my 66 SS are hacked; guess someone used fenderwell headers at some point. Will I have to find originals or does someone sell reproductions?
Thanks,
Scott

I know OPGI has them in both steel and fiberglass. I've been looking at the 'glass ones for my '67. I bet other suppliers have them too!

Thanks, Scott. Looks like they are $127 each at http://www.opgi.com/searchpart.asp?search=yes&catmainid=&Partnumber=inner+fender&p=3

You should be able to find these at most of the repro catalogs. They are widely available. How well they fit is another story though. I havent had any expierence with them.

Good thought Chris, I would like to hear from anybody who has used them just as a future reference.

I put a repro passenger inner fender in my 66 SS. it fit fine but the wrinkles in the front and on top did not match my original rusted up on due to the the battery leaking at some point.

The fit of inner fenders is always uncertain. I have installed repro stuff that fir perfectly and have installed used OEM stuff that ended up in a wrestling match. And I have removed and re-installed the same inner fender on the same car and had some difficulty. There is no predicting the fun you can have with these.

Since this is brought up. I have a pair of 67 inners I took out of a 67 Pontiac Le Mans coupe years ago thinking they may work in a 67 Chevelle. But I have yet to see a set of 67 Chevelle inners out of the car to make a comparison.

I also have a pair of 67 inners, from an El Camino.
