: 1966 coil spring identification rocker Aug 13th, 03, 8:53 PM Picked up new rear coil springs today for 1966 malibu and they are what i would call pig tail at both ends aren't 1966 flat on one end and pig tail at the other end . Thought i read that in a old post the other day, i think these maybe for a 1967 shooter Aug 13th, 03, 9:14 PM Yes the 66 only has a pig tail (small diameter coil)on the bottom. The top is a full diameter size coil. The top coil however is not flat, it maintains the spiral angle.
