My SSM lift bars replaced my lower control arms, not sure if its the same on 70 but might want to look into that before you go boxing your lowers.

I have the SSM bars on my 67 with stock uppers and rubber bushings (new).

Smooth as silk off the line and not a hint of wheelhop! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I use Edelbrock no hops along with the adjustable upper arms, and the car has excellent ride and handling quality. In fact at the local track I used to run brackets, and very few people could get there cars to hook up in the right lane, so I would make them fight for the right to run in the right lane just to throw their consentration off, worked more times than not. I would get in either lane and hook and book! :D
