My frame is supposed to go out to the powder coaters this week. With a budget in mind, what sort of suspension can I go with to provide hard launches and not nose dive when I take a corner? Is a hotchkis set up necessary? or will boxed stock arms work? I'm up for ideas. Thanks.

First, what are you starting off with? Drum setup in the front? Or disc?
How much modification are you willing to do yourself? Or are you just wanting a mail order bolt on kit?
Sounds like you want a balance between street & strip I take it?
Basically, what are your goals for this car?

Joe I am starting with drums...but am going to most likely do the b body swap. I'd prefer bolt on....don't want to weld on the frame. I'm aiming for 11's. I just don't want a soggy driver. I want it to launch hard and not take a nose dive in corners.

Spend time doing a search here on the Disc swap you want to do,80'trans-am sway bar and rear supension mods.
Like you I'm on a buget. I try to gather info on what others are using and what I can get from the bone yard(low cost)and what I can make myself.I use stock front supension(disc brakes and springs and rubber bushings),80' trans am sway bar in the front w/poly end links and mounts. In the rear SSM bars on the lower arms and BMR adjustable uppers w/ rubber bushings(had some extra cash for them)and stock 68 frame braces( the braces that conect the upper arms on the frame to the lower arms on the frame)and a stock rear sway bar.
I still have to set the pinion angle, but it leaves the line good and handles great.
If you are going to do the B-body disc swap,When I used to help wrench on a ashpalt Lancaster race car we used the B-body spindles from a rear steer(71 chevy I belive)and put them on a front steer car that puts the brake caliper toward front of the car(stock is in the rear)This would help the car in the corners(keep the car from diving so much in the front entering the turn when on the brakes)Get more info on this I think airrj would have some input on this.
I hope this helps.

Why not just find a stock front disk brake setup (~$200) Put in Poly Graphite bushings up front. Big sway bar up front. Box your stock rear arms put in new bushings in the back- Big rear sway bar.. Boom- Should be a pretty solid setup.
I think you'll find that just replacing all the body hardware, springs, bushings, etc etc- will make a world of difference. Even with the stock rubber stuff.
