I'm out in Riverside, So-Cal.. What kind of plans you got for your 69?
steveracer33 Dec 19th, 09, 4:56 PM I lived in Sac for about 25 before i moved here... well plans for the car started long ago.. its all black now with a 10pt cage, 4 link back half, ive been going back and forth on the engine...540 carb or a roots blower.. I really want the blower with fuel injection but i think that would be around 30,000
if i can post a picture i will...
i want to update the car now since its been awhile since ive started it.. i want to upgrade the cage and suspension parts also.

Looks sweet... go with the blown motor:D
steveracer33 Dec 20th, 09, 3:50 PM Matt, did you build the engine or have it built? and about how much $$ is in it

I built the motor myself, and had a friend do all the machine work. From carbs to oil pan was about 10k. The motor is a 496 with 325 darts with a good size solid roller cam. The motor made 926hp at 16lbs of boost. The motor was in a drag boat before it went into the Chevelle
prostreet69camaro Dec 23rd, 09, 8:34 AM Matt,
Very nice car. Nothing like a blower motor. I have about 12K in mine and I bought mine from a buddy also. 10k is definitely a good deal.

Yes indeed the back half plans are in motion after the new years. Gonna take a trip down to http://kkpre.com/racing and speak to Gary N. We have had several good conversations at the track and well.............it is time...........................
Will be selling a good 9".. axles.. rims etc.. when I part it out....
steve_sutherland Dec 24th, 09, 4:06 PM wow that looks incredible, must be crazy fun to drive:thumbsup:
ironhead Dec 24th, 09, 5:43 PM Awesome Matt.
I like how you sized the blower for the given cid. What drive ratio with the 10 to obtain 16lbs at wot?
BlownYenko Dec 25th, 09, 8:11 AM Beautiful looking car Matt! I just bought a blown 68 big block pro streeter but it's more at the "street" end of the scale, whereas yours looks at the "pro" racing end with the BIG rollcage and HUUUGE tires. Great stuff!

We had it about +22% over... I think we had a 50 on the blower, and a 61 on the crank, with 8mm pulleys
