That kind of money for 4 drums seems like a whole lot to me. I think I would convert the front to disk before I did that...

I just installed a praise kit in my car, and like them so far. (Just got done last weekend)
Keep in mind you aren't just getting brakes, you're getting praise dyno brakes - no fade, 40% better stopping power, etc.

IMO, If you've got 4 drums and are not interested in getting discs, I'd go for it - you should end up stopping as if you had stock discs. And the first time some yahoo pulls in front of you (do some searches here on all the damage caused) you'll be glad you did.
