I have a 1969 SS that has the factory rubber bushings in it. I am looking to upgrade the bushings to a set of polyurithane bushings. Can anybody reccomend a good kit to use? I plan to upgrade the front and rear end.

I plan on using the polygraphite bushings from PST on my 72.

I've used Energy Suspension and PST Polygraphite. I've found that rubber works better for me in the handling department. I recently switched from poly to rubber on everything other than the front lowers and handling is better than it's ever been before.

The advantage of Poly is that it outlasts rubber. Otherwise, rubber gives you the "articulation" that you need.

We have replaced every bushing on my friends 72 camaro with all poly and the car went from having a floating feeling to have a real tight solid feel. The car feels very solid when you make a corner and a considerable amount less of body roll. Plus the poly can take a bit more beating into where they need to go.

I have replaced some of my bushings with poly and noticed that what i have replaced seems to work more like its supposed to rather then just squish the bushing out of whack. Once you start replacing them you will see what i am talking about the bushings will mostly just be trashed and you will be surpised that they were working @ all on some things.

POLY all the way for me except body bushings, i still want the vehicle to have a nice ride in the cab (less road feel) but i want the suspension to work like its supposed to.

I used the Energy Suspension Hyperflex master kit. It included every bushing and mount on the car and replaces it with either polygraphite (black ones) or polyurathane (red or other colored ones) I went with the polygraphite, apparently the graphite impregnation lubricates the poly' to aid in reducing some of the squeaks common with them. The only bushings the kit did not include are the front sway bar mounts because of the different sizes available throught the years and the ammount of aftermarket ones available, they didn't want to sell you something you didn't need. Got it off JEGS for $230.00. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
